Champion cyclist Caroline Goward (pictured centre) visited the Cycling Made Easy showroom in Coulsdon to introduce members of the public to electric bikes on Saturday 28th January.
Caroline, a national cross-country masters champion with Team Scott, said that she hopes more people can be persuaded that riding a bike can make getting around so much easier:
“I took a trip into London over Christmas and rather than using the Tube to get around, I used a bike. It makes you realise how close together everything is in the capital. Sight-seeing by bike was so easy, and you get to see more than you would if you were on the Underground.”
“…no service cancellations, no crowded carriages…”
Ray Wookey, Cycling Made Easy founder (right) said, “People don’t realise how easy it can be to take a journey on a bike, especially an electric bike which shares the physical effort of pedalling with you. Swapping the train like Caroline did is a great idea: no service cancellations, no crowded carriages, and it’s so much fun.”
